4 Days to go!!!

Whew!!! Homecoming is just 4 days to go... I can't wait to see my baby of course... It's seems like forever waiting for this thing to happen..Don't worry (as if you care!!), as a blogger I would definitely post photos or vids of me and my family here... Am also excited to eat lechon, sisig, sinigang, sitsarong bulaklak, lotsa seafood and the list goes on and on... And my fave San Mig Light...Wowww really can't wait(nakakasawa na Vodka dito sa Russia ugh!!)...

Possibilities are really endless for Iphone...Everyday, you could come across an app that makes your Iphone a tool that you need...

But when I read about the story of iBand, I thought wow, this tool has not even hit its anniversary and yet it's becoming to be true to its promise...

The story of 3 guys from Vienna who imported 3 iphones from the states way back February has inspired some musician to follow suit.. Iphone could be a drum, could be a guitar and a piano.. So these 3 guys used their 2 fingers (6total) and 3 Iphones to create music..Popularly known as iBand or 6 fingers and 3 phones...

More than 2million hits in youtube is an understatement on how popular these guys are...

What is Your LSS?

LSS or last song syndrome is a state where you repeatedly listen to a particular song over and over and over and over as in over and over again... In your house, going outside the house(ipod/iphone or mp3 players) inside your car...Whoa it's like, meyn I can't get rid of this song off my mind...

I love Alicia Keys (who doesn't?), she's a beauty and got great talent but it's a pity when she went sabbatical few years ago, good thing she came back with a new album and her hit song Like You'll Never See Me Again feat. Ludacris is my LSS... Check her album out...

Sunday Mass!!!

We are fortunate here in Russia that we have a Catholic church in the main city.. More than an hour travel from our site, we could attend the 7pm mass every Sunday..But because of the sudden change of weather (talanding panahon) here, sometimes it's difficult to attend the mass regularly...Good thing there's Internet Radio...Yes, now I can listen to Sunday mass over the radio through RADIO MARIA...

Yahoo Sync!!!

Are you having problems with your contacts/calendar on your Phone or Outlook? Are you doing it manually? Meaning, you have to add your contacts  or events one by one..

Am raising my hand because that was my problem before...Not anymore, because there's yahoo sync, where you can sync your contacts and calendar to your phone or outlook and vice versa...

Just login to  http://calendar.yahoo.com/?v=120 using your yahoo account and then click Install NOW...

Video Recording!!!

AT LAST!!!

Video recording on my iphone that includes audio and records longer than what I was using before (ShowTime)...

Now, I can record a 30-sec max video with clear audio on my Iphone... I can't find the English version but, it's fine by me...

Am proud to be a Marry Immaculate devotee...When I was still working in Manila, I always go to Baclaran church every Wednesday to attend novena mass...Before, I wasn't into novena or sumthin` but when my ex- girlfriend convinced me to join her and told me to pray the novena hoping that, maybe, maybe my problems will be solved...Just by two weeks of attending the novena, I got my problem solved...From then on, it was like a Wednesday habit, not to ask for some more but to thank Mama Mary and the Lord Jesus Christ for answered prayers...

Now, that am overseas, I always make it appoint to go Baclaran before proceeding to NAIA...

What is RFID?

This is nice subject that I just want to share with you guys.. I think it's not hard to really understand how this thing works....

RFID or Radio-frequency identification according to wikipedia is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders...

If you're familiar with those yuppies working in Makati where they swipe a card(about the same size of your ATM card) to login and logout in there offices then it's easy to go about this technology... This card has a built in chip that stores data of the one who owns it..Once this guy swipes his card the record goes to the database and storing the time and code of that card..

Though this is pricey compared to using bar codes (supermarkets), RFID will soon replace this because of the advantage it will do concerning security of the items while being transported...

But some are skeptical about this technology because the government might use it on their advantage by literally inserting the chip under the skin of their subject to track their location.. As reported before, somewhere in Mexico they did this to their employees to regulate the access to a highly secure data room...

But, you can't blame others who are not comfortable using their fingers, they would rather use toys to do it hehehehhe...

4 years ago these kids (my nephews) were so adorable and very innocent... Now they're grown ups playing much better psp and nintendo against me...It's really amazing how fast kids are growing up these days!!!

DZRH Hataw!!!

I never thought I could go back to listening to AM radio... With so many high tech gadgets and new generation technologies coming out, you would think that AM Radios are obsolete, but think again... Since I came here in Russia hmmm almost 2 years ago, I was just listening to my mp3s and some cds I brought from P.I. without even checking if I could listen to our local FM/AM radios... Then I started googling and look for FM  first, I found some but streaming was so bad I couldn't barely finish a song... Then I came to the site of DZRH.. Whoa, this is so 1980's for me and I tried to listen and streaming was way better than FM radios in P.I. Since then, my day is not complete w/o listening to HATAW anchored by Lakay Deo Macalma and Pangga Ruth Abao , I love their tandem...They're like Ted and Korina, sadly ABS DZMM is not for free.. 16GB Iphone Jailbroken!!!

I had my friend's OTB Iphone 16GB jailbroken yesterday... I think he is the 2nd Iphone user here in our project, ehem first of course is moi...

Zibri of the (in)famous ziphone.org is the one responsible for making this a no-brainer... He created a software (ziphone) that enables you to have a fully functional smartphone without being under contract with AT&T for 2 years... 

Well am waiting for the 3rd user to ask my help to jailbreak his/her Iphone...

Magtanim Kapatid!!!

With the looming rice crisis in our country (beloved Philippines)  I think it's about time we go back to basic..Start planting in your backyard...I was lucky that I was raised on a farm by my parents together with my 4 siblings and we were thought the importance of planting...I still remember my grandpa asking me to watch over the rice he and some of his friends  planted in our lot... If you want to cook veggies you don't have to go to the market, just get out of the door and pick some tomatoes and beans and you're good to go...Oh and how can I forget the halamang gamot that my mom and my grandma used to plant in our backyard that helped cure some of our sickness like headache, stomach ache and even diarrhea..

Warning for Iphone or any other Smartphone users out there!!!

I read from some forums regarding globe and smart charging Internet services from your postpaid account when you thought you were using WIFI in your house all along... With Iphone, it automatically connects you to EDGE for your Internet and mail stuff before going to WIFI connection..Solution is to turn it off using Bosprefs App which you can download using Installer app in your Iphone... But having this off will make your Swirlly MMS inactive as well...

With other smartphones like Nokia and Ericsson, always read the manual before you do sumthin` stupid and regret it after receiving your bill from the mailman...
