Ingrid is free!!!

Finally, after 6 1/2 years of being held captive by Colombia's rebel group FARC, Ingrid Betancourt is free... For those who is not familiar with her, she's a french-colombian politician who was then a presidential candidate prior to her captivity... She was actually campaigning at that time (Feb of 2002) and was ahead in the survey...

By being a french citizen, her story became a world wide issue because France and other neighboring South American countries began to negotiate for her release...

Kudos to the Colombian military, not only for her release but also to the freedom of 14 more hostages including 3 Americans...
